| The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme is offered to Cadets over the age of 14 and many of the normal Cadets activities count towards this internationally recognised award scheme. |

| The Cadet Vocational Qualification Organisation (CVQO) is dedicated to helping members of the Cadet Forces get ahead personally and professionally. The qualifications on offer have been designed to show employers and educators the wide range of skills that young people and adults learn in the Cadet Forces. | |

All Sea Cadets throughout the country do general training including basic sea training, learning about the Royal Navy and other Sea Services, ceremonial drill, fire prevention, etc.
Each cadet learns a Specialisation, the first being basic seamanship to provide a grounding in basic boating knowledge, then you can either choose to increase your knowledge in this area or learn one of the other specialisations on offer.

All Cadets have equal opportunity to gain Specialisation's and Proficiencies of which, some have accredited recognition.
Advancement through the ranks, hopefully to Adult Instructor, is achievable, dependant on each individual Cadet
with the Support of Staff, Parents & Carers. |
