The Unit
Management
Committee comprises of
parents and friends and is responsible for the provision and effective maintenance
of the
Unit, for the financial management of the Unit accounts and the efficient
running of
the Unit. This entails raising funds to support the Unit in terms of
equipment and travel etc. The Management Committee usually meets once a
month in the Unit HQ.
Sea Cadet Units are not funded by the Royal
Navy, who only give limited assistance, mainly in the supply of uniforms
to the Senior Cadets and loan of certain specialist equipment to the Unit.
All other financial requirements are the responsibility of each
individual Unit and in turn, this depends on the success of the Management
Committee.
The support and assistance of Parents and Friends is an essential
